Wheelchair Walk-a-thon brings Smiles to Avril Elizabeth

Home to 154 children and adults with intellectual and physical disabilities, the Avril Elizabeth Home relies on donations to provide round-the-clock care and a range of therapies. Many residents have no family support and depend entirely on the home.

One event held this year, was a hosted fun wheelchair walk-a-thon, with participants pushing friends and staff over a 1.2km lap. Many people joined in, including some residents, cheering each other on and turning the day into a joyful celebration!
